About VideoGenius

VideoGenius exists because the web is full of "free" video tools that ask you to sign up, upload your file to someone else's server, wait in a queue, then watermark the result or charge a fee to remove the watermark. We don't do any of that.

What we do

We build browser-based video tools that run entirely on your computer. Every tool uses standard, well-supported web APIs - Canvas, MediaRecorder, Web Audio, the new WebCodecs API where appropriate. There is no server-side processing. There is no upload step. There is no account.

How we pay for it

VideoGenius is funded by display advertising on the home page, guides and editorial pages. Tool pages have a small ad placement at the bottom but the workspace itself stays clean. We do not sell data, run affiliate trackers, or share visitor information with third parties beyond what's necessary to serve the ads.

Who we are

VideoGenius is operated by ShoutWebsites, a small UK studio that builds independent web properties focused on practical utility. We've been building tools and writing about creator workflows for years. We use these tools ourselves.

What we don't do

• We don't host your files.
• We don't have user accounts, so we can't lose your data.
• We don't lock features behind a paywall.
• We don't run AI training on anything you do here.
• We don't take affiliate kickbacks for the tools we recommend in guides.
